New Plymouth: Site Visit - Thermal Dryer Facility

New Zealand Institute of Safety Management (NZISM)

About this session

A site visit to the New Plymouth Wastewater Treatment Plant and its new Thermal Drying Facility. The visit will follow the treatment process through to the thermal dryer, exploring the project's delivery, operational safety considerations and future-focused approach to biosolids management. Excess sludge from wastewater treatment is dried to produce BioBoost® fertiliser, supporting beneficial reuse rather than landfill disposal.
