A one-day interactive workshop for people leaders covering essential HR practice areas including key legislation, hiring, employee support, wellbeing, performance management, and workplace change. The course focuses on the 'good faith' principle of fair, open and honest people leadership and is designed for managers new to or refreshing their people leader role.
Course Content
Key legislation relating to HR practice; Hiring good employees; Supporting employees (setting expectations, coaching & feedback); Employee wellbeing (including bullying and harassment); Managing performance issues and misconduct; Managing change in the workplace.
Who Should Attend
People leaders for whom HR is just one part of their role. Ideal for experienced managers wanting to revise skills, those starting in a people leader role, or those with HR responsibility as part of a broader role (e.g. Corporate Services Manager). Not designed for HR professionals.
Fees
HRNZ Member: $805.00 (includes GST); Non-member: $920.00 (includes GST). Limited to 12 attendees. Delivered virtually via Zoom. Registrations close 12:00pm Thursday 5 November unless sold out prior.
What to Expect
Highly practical workshop including group discussions and activities. Participants receive a booklet (hard copy or PDF) for note-taking and post-course reference.
