 his one-hour webinar\, we will be exploring how claims-made Professional I
 ndemnity policies typically operate\, where misunderstandings commonly ari
 se\, and why timing and notification require careful consideration. Learni
 ng Objectives Explain the difference between claims made and occurrence-ba
 sed policies\, and identify which policy year responds to a claim. Check a
  policy’s retroactive date and continuity of cover\, and explain how gap
 s in cover or a change of insurer can affect a client’s protection. Writ
 e a clear professional services description\, and explain why “if it’s
  not on the schedule\, it’s not covered”. Compare inclusive and exclus
 ive limits and excesses\, and show a client what each means in dollars whe
 n defence costs apply. Assess common extensions (fidelity\, vicarious liab
 ility\, run-off) and common exclusions (bodily injury and property damage\
 , directors and officers\, fee disputes) so clients know what they are and
  are not buying. Prepare a stronger submission\, using scope of works\, pr
 oject and client details\, and a client CV\, and relate the concepts to re
 al claims across property management\, accounting\, graphic design and bea
